JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Summary

The Admissions Manager oversees the College’s admissions processes, ensuring efficient, student-centered operations that align with strategic enrollment goals. This role manages program admissions, optimizes processes within the Student Information System, and provides data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and student experiences. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the Manager ensures consistent service delivery across campuses and supervises the daily activities and professional development of Student Services Assistants. Through strategic planning and effective leadership, this position supports the College’s commitment to student access and success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.

Admissions and Enrollment Management

  • Oversee the admissions process for NTC’s programs, including application support, program readiness assessment, acceptance processing, and applicant communication.

  • Monitor program and course waitlists, manage capacity for high-demand programs, and oversee communications with students.

  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize admissions processes within the Student Information System, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ensure accurate and current admissions information on the NTC website, making data-informed recommendations for process improvements.

  • Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) for International Student Admissions.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

  • Assist the Senior Director, Enrollment Strategy, in developing and implementing long-term plans for enrollment services.

  • Analyze admissions data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and prepare reports to guide decision-making.

  • Implement Lean strategies and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and improve student experiences.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide input during the hiring process, oversee training, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development for Student Services Assistants.

  • Coordinate daily workflows, schedules, and coverage for One-Stop/Enrollment Services offices, including evening and weekend hours.

  • Ensure consistent service delivery across regional campuses through collaboration with regional campus directors.

Collaboration and Customer Support

  • Work closely with the Manager of Student Recruitment, Director of Financial Aid, and Registrar to maintain accurate student records and ensure consistent messaging to students.

  • Serve as a liaison with Testing Center, College Prep Center, and Academic Resource Center to support student success.

  • Handle customer complaints and make decisions regarding unique circumstances to ensure student satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications Required

In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Experience: 4 Years

  • A minimum of four years of related experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a similar field is preferred.

  • One year of prior supervisory experience required, preferred within the last five years, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage workflows effectively.
  • Strong understanding of technical college or two-year college systems is desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for process improvements.

  • Experience with student information systems, with Workday experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
